Baba Yaga Ceramic Earrings PREORDER (READ DESCRIPTION)
Hello! I am so happy that you are interested in the Baba Yaga ceramic earrings! I think that the most sane way to handle the demand for these earrings is through preorder! I’m starting with 50 pairs and we can revisit the system after that batch is shipped.
The processing time for this pre order will be 3-4 months (will likely be shorter for most people). My plan is to basically ship them out as soon as they are ready instead of stock piling them for one big drop. I don’t want to make you wait, it sounds stressful.
This is my first time doing a pre order like this. So, thank you in advance for your patience as I figure things out. I’m just so grateful that I’ve found so many people who love the same things I do! I will try my best to get these Baba Yaga earrings into your hands as soon as possible! Now to answer some FAQs:
Q: Are they heavy?
A: No they are surprisingly light weight! Since they are made from ceramic all of the moisture is fired out of them at a very high temperature.
Q: Are they fragile?
A: A little. If you dropped a ceramic mug on a hard surface it would likely chip or break. Same for these. I include silicon stoppers for the backs of all earrings to make sure they are extra secure. It’s easy to avoid dropped earring tragedies by doing simple things like sitting down when you put them on and always wearing the silicon stoppers. Just maybe don’t go rock climbing or bungee jumping. I try to price them so that they aren’t too expensive, so if you break one just message me and I can let you buy a single earring to replace it.
Q: Are they safe for sensitive ears?
A: Depends on the sensitivity, but in most cases, yes. All the earring hardware is sterling silver. Sterling silver can tarnish over time, but that can be remedied by polishing with a gentle cloth or even just your fingertip! The oils in your skin combat the oxidation process.
Q: Why ceramic?
A: I’ve tried making these earrings out of so many different mediums, wood, acrylic, resin. But ceramic FEELS the best. They tinkle pleasantly when you move and flash elegantly in the sunlight. Also, since they are so light weight I can create more elaborate designs. More are coming!
